The Cigar Factory Lofts is located just south of Girard Ave. on N. 4th Street in Northern Liberties. These condos really fit the traditional loft mold. The building is a converted cigar factory (hence the name) and provides an industrial loft feel. The building is home to one and two bedroom condos that offer exposed brick walls, exposed ductwork, exposed wooden beam ceilings, hardwood floors, and modern/upgraded kitchens and baths. The Cigar Factory Lofts have some really spacious floor plans…some of the one bedroom condos are 1,800+ square feet while some of the two bedroom condos are 2,500+ square feet. There is no doorman or fitness center. The building is pet friendly, and there is a private, covered garage on the ground floor.

Cobblestone Court Condos, located on North 4th St. in “hip” Northern Liberties, is an industrial complex with a private, communal courtyard for its residents. Featuring one and two bedroom multi-level condos, Cobblestone Court consists of 23 units. Each condo has street level access into the courtyard. The units are definitely on the smaller side, especially when the square footage is broken down into multiple levels/floors. Some one bedroom condos are less than 600 square feet, while some two bedroom units are under 850 square feet. These condos are a short walk to The Piazza at Schmidts and all of 2nd Streets offerings. There aren’t too many other addresses in the heart of Northern Liberties with such an affordable cost of entry.

There are a total of 6 units between the two buildings – 1 condo at 974 N. 5th and 5 condos in 976 N. 5th. The sole condo at 974 is a tri-level, 2 bed, 2 bath, with a private backyard. The 5 condos in 976 consist of one and two bedroom condos. Some units have private yards, while the others have a private balcony. These condos have functional layouts, nice hardwood flooring, updated kitchens/baths, and the outdoor space is a great bonus…specifically the condos with the private yards (very difficult to find in condo living). These condos have a great Northern Liberties location being just a few short blocks from the Piazza and the rest of 2ndStreet’s offerings.

The loft-style condos at Metro Lofts are located in the heart of Northern Liberties on 3rd and Brown Streets. For you industrial loft lovers, these condos have your name written all over them. Some of the condo features include: 18 ft ceilings, polished cement floors, exposed brick walls, exposed wooden beams, open floor plans, and metal staircases that lead to the loft bedroom that overlooks the living area. There are a total of 17 condominiums located in the Metro Lofts with both one and two bedroom layouts available. There is no doorman or gym, but Metro Lofts is pet friendly and does have parking. These condos offer plenty of square footage as many of the one bedroom units are 1,000+ square feet.
Liberty Mews Condos

Liberty Mews Condos is a small gated community located on North 4th Street in Northern Liberties. The gated entrance leads to a communal courtyard with picnic tables which can be enjoyed by all residents. These condos are almost set up as miniature townhomes as they offer tri-level living. Each condo is accessible from the courtyard. Your front door leads to the first floor which consists of a kitchen and living area. There are two sets of staircases – one leads up and one leads down. The one that leads up takes you to the bedroom(s) and bath. The one that leads down takes you to a bonus room that’s great for storage or an additional sitting room. Some of the one bedroom condos are set up loft style as the bedroom overlooks the living area…other layouts are more traditional. Most, but not all, of the condos offer a private balcony off the bedroom. One and two bedroom condos are available and the community is pet friendly. One of the coolest features is that although this development is located on 4th Street (a relatively busy street), you wouldn’t know it as it’s pushed back from the street and very private.
Lighthaus Condos

Located in between 2nd and 3rd Streets on N. American Street, Lighthaus Condos is a 6-story condo building consisting of 24 units which are all 2 bedroom 2 bath condos. These condos are very contemporary and offer the following: cityscape views, private balconies, stainless steel appliances, caesarstone counters, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass and windows, soaking tubs, ceramic tile showers, parking, an optional concierge, and large bedrooms/living spaces. There are 4 different floor plans: The NE Unit (1,562 sq ft), The SE Unit (1,327 sq ft), The NW Unit (1,453 sq ft), and The SW Unit (1,380 sq ft). The Lighthaus Condos are European inspired condos that provide a contemporary, urban, boutique living experience in the center of the Northern Liberties neighborhood. The building was designed by well-known architect, Erdy McHenry. Fun fact: the rapper Jay-Z was a financer of this condo project.

The condos at 444 Lofts are NYC style, industrial lofts located on the fringe of Northern Liberties and Old City. This condo building has one of the coolest on-site fitness centers that I have seen. It’s located in the basement of the building and consists of 8,000 square feet and an indoor track. This building is a true warehouse conversion, and you’ll probably either love or hate these condos as their designed for a more specific taste. These condos feature polished concrete floors, concrete beamed ceilings, exposed brick walls, stainless steel appliances, stainless steel kitchen islands, black granite counters, dark custom cabinetry, exposed ductwork, and concrete columns. There are also large windows that allow for an abundance of natural light and provide skyline views (in some units). One parking space is included per condo in the building’s gated parking lot. 444 Lofts is pet friendly and there is 24/7 front desk security. There are also shops/restaurants located on the lobby floor. There are one, two, and three bedroom condos available in the building. Some units do possess Juliet balconies. The building is also pet friendly.
Northpoint Lofts

The loft style condos at Northpoint Lofts are located on the fringe of Northern Liberties as they are just north of Girard Ave. on North 3rd Street. This modern loft conversion features industrial style condos with polished concrete floors, 15+ foot ceilings, loft style bedrooms overlooking the living area, concrete ceilings with exposed structural steel beams, stainless steel appliances, and garage parking is available. Some of the ground floor units are customizable work/living spaces in which you can drive your car into your living room or work space depending on how you utilize the space…giving new meaning to working from home. These spaces are great for artists, architects, photographers, designers, etc. I know one unit was used as both a place to live and a place to house the owner’s private car collection. These condos are very industrial and also offer exposed ductwork, exposed plumbing, and metal staircases. Northpoint Lofts can definitely be a great option for those currently renting studio space as they eliminate the need by combining your home and work space together.
